Prabowo-Sandi Has a Strong Promise to Eradicate Corruption in Indonesia

Jurnal Fakta. JAKARTA- Coordinator Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, spokesman for the National Winning Body (BPN), Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, stressed that the Prabowo-Sandi Pair has a strong promise of eradicating corruption. One of them is to strengthen the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"Pak Prabowo rejected the revision of the KPK Law from the start if the revision had a tendency to weaken the KPK," said Dahnil Anzar, Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Dahnil Anzar explained, if Prabowo Subianto would still include the KPK as a strong legal corruption eradication institution. Dahnil stated that Prabowo Subianto wanted to strengthen the KPK.

Dahnil Anzar said, there were several ways to strengthen the KPK planned by Prabowo Subianto's team. The first is to strengthen the KPK in fiscal terms. Dahnil stressed that Prabowo would raise the budget portion of the KPK.

For the second, Prabowo Subianto will raise the number of neutral observers at the KPK. Dahnil said, there are many anti-corruption institutions in the world that recruit observers directly, not capture from other legal institutions.

"We must recruit independent, multidisciplinary investigators. Corruption is not only a legal issue, but also related to finance crime, cyber crime, corruption and cyber, all kinds of things," said Dahnil Anzar.

   4. Strengthening anti-corruption education programs for the younger generation, and working with the private sector to strengthen the synergy of anti-corruption movements in the private and public sectors.
   5. Regulate the political funding and financing system that guarantees independence, transparency, prevents corruption, and safeguards the sustainability of democracy.
   6. Encouraging the participation of elements of society to make corruption as a collective movement begins with the example of leaders on all fronts.
